Force charging to 100% causes battery to be idle and any Solar generated is not being used??

Hi Guys,

I'm a newbie to the forum and just recently had 8x Solar panels, 3.7k Inverter & a 12k battery installed :D

I'm not sure if this question has been asked before? I've just got the Octopus Flux import & export tariff and am force charging at 2am -> 5am and 2pm -> 4pm before force dis-charging at 4pm -> 7pm successfully. I've noticed when force charging to 100%, that when 100% is reached and the scheduled time period is still active, the battery is idle and will not be used until the end of the scheduled time period. Is this normal? This is fine for the first force charging period but for the second force charging period, the battery remains idle and no solar generated is being used at all and all home use is from the grid until the end of the scheduled time period. I hope that makes sense?

Anyone seen this issue and know how to resolve?

CheerZ..

Hi and welcome to the forum,

Do you by chance have a H1 3.7-WL inverter (it will have a small aerial attached for the internal wifi connection) ?

This was a bug noticed recently on that model, and JimH has just posted to say that the latest firmware resolves a problem with excess solar being shut down if the battery is full.

Hi Dave,

Thanks for the reply :D

I have the following Inverter - H1-3.7-E-G2-WL, Master: 1.40 Slave: 1.04 Manager: 1.35 Datalogger (internal wifi) : 2.06.

So, if it is a bug how do I request for the Inverter etc to be upgraded to the latest firmware?

Drop an email here: service.uk@fox-ess.com
Make sure to include the serial numbers for the items you want to have upgraded.

There is a possible way here, but not sure if your system is supported, worth a look to see.
