Forced discharge not reverting to Self Use

Hello. I have a Forced discharge scheduled for 4pm each day, stopping at 30%. It's working fine, but once the battery reaches it's target the system starts importing from the grid instead of using the battery. This is therefore importing at peak rate.

The system does not return to the default Self Use settings. I can get round it by adding another self use session, but surely the default should kick in.

Your help would be welcome for a newbie!

Do you have a KH inverter ?, the expected behaviour is that it should fall back to Self Use when fdsoc met, it is a bug introduced (from memory I think in 1.52 firmware).

It is supposed to be being corrected in new firmware but i've not heard any positive reports so far that it has.

Hopefully someone that has experienced the problem will respond and confirm.

Thanks. I have a Fox H1 3.7 inverter. My temporary workaround of creating brief Self Use session stops the grid importing but I have to adjust it every darn day.

Hi, I've got a KH7 inverter on 1.58 and noticed the same issue recently. I've contacted the UK support team but was told "the system cannot automatically switch back to Self Use mode during that period" I know it did up to last week. It's really annoying having to sit and watch for when it gets down to the FD SOC % and then manually add a Self Use schedule.

I was chatting with my fox ess contacts today and they've asked me for more details and they'll look into. hoping to get this fixed asap

Hi

Just to confirm (in case it helps add pressure to the dev backlog!) that I get this issue too. Would really appreciate an early fix as it's quite a problematic bug.

Cheers

Keep an eye on the release notes, but they are lagging behind at the moment.

Odds are we will know in the forum before the release notes catch up :D

I have copied this from Brianj. It's exactly what is happening to our system. It was working up until a few weeks ago but this problem then started and continues. Not getting any help from FOX despite our installer chasing them up.

It's a complete mess and the mode scheduler is really of no use. It only responds to manual change.
Thanks

Some have posted using the Energy Stats can handle the current situation.

Evilbunny already knows my woes with the Mode Scheduler issues of late, but for others I tried via Energy Stats, in fact I remade my whole schedule in the Energy Stats app rather than via the FoxCloud2.0 app or the FoxCloud website and it still reverted to 100%MaxSOC, but hopefully FoxESS fix the issue sooner rather than later.

Your mileage may vary with the ES app, so it's worth a shot, but I've still got a schedule set in the Mode Scheduler, with Self-Use as the default/fall-back and I have one timeframe which isn't enabled, so it uses Self-Use that I can manually enable to ForceDischarge if needed.

For others that kept having that issue, they had to call Fox to get it fixed.
