Considering 4 Fox ESS EP12 batteries - Can you stack two batteries in front of each other?

Hi,

First post, I'm considering a 4 Fox ESS EP12 11 KW/h Batteries , I have a total of 230cm of wall space which won't be enough as each battery is 70cm plus 30cm between them.

What I'm think is can I have two lots of two batteries i.e. one battery and then another one in front of it, I cannot see any issues with this in the install guide with regards to ventilation, this would provide the ventilation at the sides and above as per the 30 cm requirement.

Each unit is 18.5cm deep so 37 in total , maybe leave a 10cm gap between the front and back battery.

The batteries can be floor mounted but should always be held against a wall as an anti-topple measure, at over 100kg each, they would make a mess if they fell over that’s why Fox wouldn’t approve of them being mounted in front of each other, even with an air-gap.

Perhaps there is something you can do to build a brace that would allow the forward battery to be braced to the wall or battery behind.

Thanks Dave,

Appreciate the response, maybe have to consider a different option, maybe a Fox stack or maybe 3 batteries only
