Hi,

Recently just did our first fox eq4800 l9 install at my house with a H3 SMART 10.0. The load seems to be negative and the inverter is not recognising energy coming in from the grid. The battery is currently charging from the grid in this picture as I've set it up to charge from the grid during this time of the day as we have a free power plan.

Ive checked my energy retailer app and we haven't been pulling any power from the grid overnight, however according to the energy retailers app we exported about 2kw (per hour) to the grid from 3pm to midnight for some reason.

Anyone know why this is happening am thinking the CT clamps might be wrong but not sure?

If you have a single CT clamp, then odds are it could be backwards, there should be an arrow on it to show the flow direction, if unsure and picture of your meter along with picture showing the clamp(s) would be good.

The main CT Clamp should be around the tail between your meter and house circuits, so it's Grid->Meter->House lines you need to follow.

If you see just the one CT Clamp, you can reverse it and then put on hair dryer / cooker to put a load on and check the app again after a few minutes.


If the CT Clamp is on the correct way, there was an old Firmware bug IIRC that used to show negative loads (or it was the Fox Cloud App version?) Either way, you might be best to find out the firmware versions and post/check the master list on the forum.

There are 3 clamps, we reversed all 3 didn’t seem to do anything still showing negative load.

Also the load is definitely wrong - had a kettle on and it only showed 250w

It might be an idea to check if there is any firmware updates available, so that at least would rule that out.

After the battery has fully charged (from the force charge setting) it seems to go to 0-50w for 30mins to an hour.
