EQ4800 Firmware upgrade - BMU vs BCU

Hi All,

in a eq4800 system, the master is showing bmu 1.14 while slaves 1.15 - there is an upgrade to bmu 1.15 available

bcu is showing 2.005 while 2.010 is available

is it worth upgrading? system is working well

also, should I do the bmu to 1.15 first? or doesn't matter? thanks

It’s not quite the same architecture as master/slave but closest approximation is BMU = Slave, BCU = Master

As a rule i’m a strong believer in if it isn’t broke don’t fix it - the differences here mainly down to low temperature handling/stability and pack balance, arguably worth having those changes.

It’s best to update BCU first, and then BMU (which will be pushed out to all slave batteries)

thanks for clarifying regarding upgrade order mate

low temps aren't a problem here in QLD Australia so I will hold on for now :D

I did wonder whether you would be, i’d mostly definitely swap you that for a UK winter :)
