Fox recently advised that they will replace my ESC2900 battery stack. They asked for my details and the name of the installer. Will they send the batteries to me or to the installer? Are Fox happy to allow an end user to install the replacement batteries?

As a rule they usually send them to your installer as your contract is with them, but where the installer has not responded or gone into administration i’ve heard of Fox engineers arranging to visit and do it themselves.

Thanks for your reply. Is the installer obliged to come out and replace them if more than one year has passed? Usually installers will not attend after a year unless it relates to the workmanship side of matters. Parts maybe covered by the manufacturers warranty but I would presume the installer would not want to spend time attending free of charge...

That is indeed the grey area, Fox will cover the battery (materials) but you’ll have to see how your installer responds to this and go from there i’m sorry to say.
