Moving from Cloud integration to RS485/LAN Modbus integration: advice needed

Hi,

I've had the Cloud integration running for around a month in HA without any issues. However, the 5 min reads and the lack of interaction has made me consider the more advanced RS485/LAN Modbus integration. I have a EW11 (wifi) already wired and connected to my local network and awaiting for some good weather to do the final wiring to the inverter (located on an outside wall). My question to the fellow HA users is what to do with the current Cloud integration once I have the Modbus one working. I imagine HA will see duplicated entities from the two integrations. Shall I delete the Cloud one first? Anyone who has gone through something similar who can advise?

Thanks!
Sergio

The entities will all be named differently, so you can keep your old data for historical purposes and arguably keep the cloud integration running as it doesn't consume much resources - then when you are happy with everything that modbus provides you can disable the cloud integration (and/or delete the old entity names particularly the power ones [kW] but keep the statistical ones [kWh])

Thanks, that's reassuring. I'll give it a go later today, fingers crossed...
