Hi there,

I have a 10 kW solar system with the G8 inverter. Manul says it is fully optimised for the battery system (additional system required). I would like to add the battery (2 x FoxESS 10.36kWh HV EP Battery (EP11)) to the system, but I was quoted the for FoxESS 5kW 1Ph Hybrid 2MPPT. Am I charged for something I don't need or will this connect to the original system?

You'll need to buy an additional inverter and AC couple it. The marketing is a bit wolly as any string inverter can be used with an AC coupled battery system.

The 5kW hybrid inverter might be extra if your G8 inverter already supports the system. Best to confirm with the installer.
