Hi
I would like to connect to my inverter with modbus to retrieve the SOC to integrate it into my Homey Smart homey.
My inverter is already wifi connected with the integrated WIFI module/antenna.
Will it be possible to retrieve directly over wifi by using modbus TCP protocol?
I have not worked with modbus before, so sorry if I ask a stupid question.
I have tried some testing with QModMaster and it seems it finds the IP and states the port is open. Both with wifi and with a lancable(just for testing). But I cannot read any register data?
Hope anyone can point me in the right direction.
Sadly the wifi module does not expose modbus, you'll need to buy and wire a small rs485 to modbus adapter.
