Charging up to 12% between 4:30 and 5:00 am

There seems to be an issue with charging up before sunrise. I have my mode schedule set to charge with the following settings:
Work mode: Force Charge
Min SOC on grid: 10%
Max SOC:12%
Forced discharge cutoff soc (FDSOC): 30%
MAX. AC power for forced discharge (FDPwr): 4000W
The only other entry in my mode scheduler is Forced discharge, min SOC on grid 10%, FDSOC 30%, FDPwr 4000W. This works fine on its own and discharges to 30% as required.
When I introduce the Forced charge, albeit the battery has already reached 10% prior to 4:30am, the system charges up past 12%, reaching 15% on grid before sunrise at which point PV is sufficient to take over charge.
I reset the system in the morning when i wake up (prior to sunrise) to stop the battery from charging and this resolves the problem.
I reset and submit mode scheduler and the battery stops charging from the grid at the point. By mid-day the battery is usually fully charged however for some reason at 3pm the battery starts discharging (currently sitting at 96% as I type) despite PV being sufficient to supply the load. So i have to reset the system again in the afternoon after which the battery charges up to 100% as required.
This problem has happened every day through this week and only happens if I have the charge period enabled in mode scheduler. The discharge works fine on its own.
Does anyone know why this is happening?
Min SOC and battery reserve capacity both set to 10% in my system.
