Hi everyone.
i currently have a V1 BMS and 3 V1 (Version C) batteries.
im looking at adding a new battery to my system but have only had luck in finding V2 batteries.
am i correct in thinking that i CAN add V2 batteries to my current V1 batteries but i will need to buy a V2 BMS and discard of my V1 BMS?
also, once i have a V2 BMS, would the V2 BMS go at the top of the pyramid, then directly underneath that my V2 battery and then underneath that my current 3 V1 batteries?
if this is correct can it be done by myself, who is quite handy around the house and knows abit about electrics and that?

If at all possible try and find a second hand V1 HV2600 as the mixed packs (in my experience) never provide as much capacity as you would expect - ironically you might add another V2 and end up only with a marginal improvement on the usable capacity that you have now.

To answer your specific question - yes you will need a V2 BMS to replace the existing V1 BMS.

Add the V2 battery on the top of the V1 stack and put the V2 BMS on top of that.

So that would give you from top to bottom V2 BMS, V2 HV2600, 3 * V1 HV2600

Make sure you connect the earth cable between batteries and take care with the DC cables observing the same polarity between batteries - always best to take a photo before you start so you have something to refer too.

This can all get very confusing cant it but i have got my head around all that now so thankyou!
Im trying my best to get hold of a V1 battery but alot of places dont seem to do it anymore.
Do you know of anywhere that i should try in your experience? Or can you put out onto this group asking everyone for there help that could maybe provide me with a website or a phone number of a place they might of got one in the past! Or maybe someone on here might be selling one?
