New installation on East and South facing elevation of semi-detached house.
7 x 450w PV East
5 x 450w PV South

All working well, exported 1650kwh since mid April so really pleased.

Only slight annoyance was the invert whine when under heavier load. Installer said this was normal. As an control systems engineer, I fixed issue by having automatic cooling fan controlled by HA switching on when inverter temperature hits 40degC and switches off when PV output drops below 1kw for more than 30mins.

Hi, and welcome to the forum - some of the inverters do generate a bit of noise under heavy load and high temperatures, but that’s the perfect fix you’ve done..

Thanks for positive response. Did take a bit of effort to build for outside use (low voltage and IP68) but all good.
