Dear Forum,

I have installed 2 Solis hybrid inverters, each with 6 Fox HV2600 and each has a Fox HV BMS.

After setting the inverters to Fox battery setting, 3 things happen.

1. Solis inverter says no Battery.
2. Solis inverter says CAN comm fail
3 Fox BMS alarm sounds after 5 mins.

I have checked and checked and checked the install but nothing changes. Even after replacing the CAN com lead.

Strange that two inverters from different places, two BMS from two different places have the same issue.

Please can anyone shed some light? Tha k you in advance.

I came across something similar with a Solis inverter and FoxESS batteries and it was the cable that was the problem.

The first diagram is the pinout for a Solis to Pylontech battery (standard cable is straight through).


The second is the pinout for the HV2600 BMS and as you can see the CAN H & L pins are reversed
I.e. the Solis > Fox battery cable needs pins 4 & 5 crossing over in the cable.
