Batteries not being charged overnight ?

I noticed on my App, and confirmed on the web portal that the batteries didnt charge overnight on the cheap Octopus tariff (I usually charge only between 0200 and 0315).
Looking at the usage today, I also noticed that this mornings usage is not being taken from the batteries - just direct from the grid so the SoC remains unaltered since last night when it was at 53%. Usage is definitely not coming from the batteries. I've looked at all the breakers and none have tripped out. There are no obvious errors or flashing lights on the inverter itself.
Its as if the inverter isnt there at all, or the batteries are disconnected, and so the PV isnt charging the batteries, nor can they be used. I've checked the App charge settings - they remain unaltered and havent changed for many weeks.
Any way I can see some kind of diagnostics on the inverter to see what its doing (or not)?

There can be dozens of answers to this question so we'll need a lot more information, are you charging using the charge periods or the scheduler ? - what settings have you used.
Common problems are the minsoc (battery reserve) has been left set at 100%, charge periods set to a value other than 00:00-00:00 when not in use and if you use the scheduler it really will depend on what schedules you have set.
If you have changed nothing and it's done this, it is possible the manager has crashed which will need you to do a full shutdown and restart on the inverter (basically PV off, AC off, batteries off - wait for the inverter to turn off then reverse batteries on, AC on, PV on).
If it is the manager that has crashed it may be recommended to update your firmware so if you could list your Master/Manager(ARM) versions and which inverter model it is I can look up the latest versions - then if they are old either ask your installer or raise a ticket with Fox to update them.

Thank you
Minsoc is set at 10% and has been unaltered for months.
Charge period from the gris is 0200 to 0317 - no other time. Unaltered for months
You are correct - nothing has changed for a month or more.
Inverter is H1-5.0-E-G2. Its set up with 16 Fox ESS Panels and two 4.2kWh Fox batteries. I guess if its software, its possible its glitched but as its been stable for months (17th December2024) without operational issues, it makes me wonder.
From what I can see on the App, it is;
Master 1.21
Slave 1.02
ARM 1.32
Edit - I normally use the Scheduler to dump power back to Octopus between 1600 and 2000 and the settings havent changed. I dump it after the cheap period as the solar is still active and umping direct from 1600 to 1730 at the moment, before the betteries get tapped. In fact, over the last week, the batteries got to minimum (39%), and then started to recharge again off the sunshine that same evening. TRial and error get me to 39% as thats what it needs to be in my household to get through the evening and night and have enough in the betteries to get to cheap recharge time.
Very many thanks - I have logged it with my installer who has raised a ticket with Fox, so if Fox do their thing, do they do it remotely and reboot the inverter somehow ?

Ok that is older firmware, the latest versions are :-
Master 1.33,
Slave 1.03,
Manager 1.49
The scheduler was known to cause occasional ‘manager’ lock ups in earlier versions so it is likely that is the case now.
When the Master is updated the inverter will restart automatically afterwards, but it would be advised to run through a shutdown / restart before (there is a video in guides which will help) - it’s likely that will clear the problem and then the firmware upgrade will stop it happening in future.

Thank you for the link to the video - the system was rebooted this morning and came back up, web portal showing usage but sadly, batteries still not being used.
I guess I will have to wait until Monday for Fox to do their thing
This is the error log due to the reboot.

ok, thanks - the latter 3 error messages are as a result of the restart (loss of grid power), but the first implies there is a cell voltage problem with the battery pack which will keep it off-line (unless it corrects itself in the meantime as the voltage slumps), but Fox should be able to resolve it for you when they investigate.
