PV Yield Stats

A quick question about PV Yield. The Fox Cloud web interface shows the overview for Today's Yield as 16.6 kWh, which is the same as the PV Yield in the Fox Cloud android app, but the Inverter details tab of the web interface shows Today's Yield as 19.4 kWh. And the Stats page of the Energy Stats app shows the solar generated as 12.90 kWh. Which one do I choose and why the variation?

It all depends they are different things, the 16.6kWh is the solar production and comes from the inverters PV total register, the Todays Yield is everything that the inverter has output either from solar, grid or battery - in effect all of the work the inverter has done.

Energy Stats (and the HA cloud integration) have to calculate the solar produced by adding and subtracting all of the variables i.e. Solar generation = (battery charge - battery discharge - grid consumption + loads consumption + feed in)

This unfortunately includes losses and so it shows the 12.90kWh.

If you are interested in your solar production for the day, the 16.6kWh is the number.

The good news is that Fox have just added the solar production statistic to the OpenAPI feed and Al has added it to Energy Stats so there will be an update pending and Energy Stats (and HA cloud) will also show the 16.6kWh.

Thank you very much for the detailed explanation. Slowly finding my way around......
