Unusual readings - app error?

Good morning,

I had panels, inverter and battery installed last year, but have only recently had the time to start looking into the data. I think either my app has an issue, or potentially the inverter sensors/installation.
According to the app graph, my inverter uses the grid at the same time (and roughly the same level) as when the battery discharges. According to both the app and website, my load contributes to the grid, rather than takes from it. Whilst I'd love to have a magical electricity generating house, I think it's likely to be a mistake.
It seems to me the app/website has confused the grid and the house (load).

Any suggestions?

Looking at your energy flow you are sending power from your house to the grid, which can’t be correct. It looks to me as if your CT clamp (current measuring device) has been fitted the wrong way round.

It should be located in your meter cupboard clipped around the live tail of the meter, it’s a small white clamp and has an arrow on one side that must be pointed towards the grid - I suspect yours has been fitted the wrong way round - either give your installer a call and ask them to check it or as it’s only a simple clip, just remove it, turn it around so the arrow faces the grid and then your energy flow and system should report correctly.

I thought it may have been something like that. My meter has a metal fascia box which will need unscrewing. Assuming this is safe to do (electricity turned off), I can check tomorrow. Thanks.

I have switched the clamp and everything seems to be fine now. Thank you for the help Dave.

That's great, glad you have sorted it out.
