Confused between self consumption and self sufficiency numbers

Hi, I was going through my generation today and I'm a bit confused with the figures, if anyone can provide some clarification please?

According to my data, my self consumption of what was produced is 2.6kWh today. However, under Consumption, it says I only used 1.1kWh under self-sufficiency, and purchased the rest. So where is the 1.5kWh difference? My battery SOC started and ended at 20%, so it's not gone into battery charge.

Any help is appreciated!

Have a read of this guide https://github.com/TonyM1958/FoxESS-Cl ... onsumption

The answer is system efficiency as there are losses to take into account, the inverter, BMS and batteries take a small amount of power to run, the conversion of power from DC (solar) to AC has some losses (approx 95% efficient), storing power in the battery, recovering it (97%) and converting it from DC to AC again has losses.

1.5kW sounds about right for daily losses, once the suns elevation is back up again you’ll hardly notice the losses as they will be dwarfed by the larger generation numbers.
