Hi, I am new to this forum and wondered if anyone may be able to advise whether there is such a thing as a collar which can be fitted around the Solar output cable to allow the solar power output to be viewed in the Foxcloud/App?
We had solar panels and inverter fitted in 2016, the inverter for the panels is a Sunnyboy SB3600TL-21.
We have recently had a Fox AC1-5.0-E-G2 Inverter and Fox EP11 10.36KWh battery installed.
Because the feed from the panels is not connected to the Fox Inverter I can only see the data related to the battery, I would like to be able to see the solar output in the app as well if possible. Thank you.
Solar Output from Sunnyboy to Fox Cloud
Yes, Paul, that's exactly the setup we have, with a 2012 SunnyBoy inverter; when the battery was installed a clamp was fitted on the output cable with a lead into the Fox inverter.
The Fox app (screenshot attached from my Windows PC, but the Android app is very similar) shows the feed from the old inverter coming in from the blue "Inverter" graphic rather than the yellow "PV" source on the left which is redundant in this setup.
The lower part of the screen shows how the panels topped up the battery for an hour or so from about 09:40 and then the black line shows up when the battery's full and the system switches over to exporting. All good stuff on a nice sunny day like today!
The collar came as part of our installation. I would think it should have been part of yours too but, if not, I can't think it would be a lot to get one put on.
Hope this helps,
Cheers
John
