forced charge fast rate does it reduce battery life?

Hi all,
I am just after peoples opinions. I have set a forced charge overnight to take advantage of the cheaper rates. Looking at the stats the inverter is charging the batteries really quickly, charging just below 5Kw taking about 1.5 hours to charge.

My question is whether this will do any harm to the batteries, may it reduce battery life long term? If opinion is that it would how do you reduce the charge rate and what are the recommended rates to charge at?

Thanks in advance Peter

Hi Peter,

I had a similar question, thread is here:

If you are worried about the impact of force-charging you can also use the self-use mode and set MinSoc to your target % to charge more slowly. The inverter will detect the batteries are below MinSoc and trickle charge until it reaches MinSoc.

I tend to force-charge to around 40-50% and then slow-charge using this method
