Forced charging overnight

Hi,
Apologies if this has been asked and answered previously but I have been unable to find the answer via search. I have An H1 inverter with batteries and solar connected as hybrid. I want to set the the inverter to charge to 70% overnight at the cheaper rates leaving some room for solar to top up during the day. I have tried setting this a couple of times but it has not charged at all. What settings should I set in the scheduler to achieve this. Thanks in advance
Peter.

There is a good chance that your inverter doesn't have the latest firmware on that works with MaxSoC in the schedules so that might be the cause of this - if you post what you inverter Master / Manager(ARM) versions are i'll check for you.

Also worth noting that if you do get your firmware updated and you use the Energy Stats app, it won't be able to set the schedules anymore and will even stop the V2 app from working for 3 hours after you try.

So the slightly longer answer is if you don't use Energy Stats, and are happy to set schedules on the V2 app or website, the latest firmware is what you need - in which case you would set a Force Charge, with minSoc set at 10%, FDSoc set at 10%, FDPwr set at 0 and MaxSoC set at 70% for the time period you want to charge the batteries.
Make sure you don't overlap other time periods a schedule of 00:30 - 05:30 actually runs from 00:30:00 to 05:30:59 so if you have a schedule that follows it, set it for the minute after it ends.

Hi Dave
Just an update I made the changes to the settings as you suggested and tested them just now and It worked okay. Just to let you know that I set them via the cloud account rather than the app. Not sure if thats what made the difference. I will test this again tonight with these settings.

Thank you so much for your help it is much appreciated.

You are a few versions behind, but nothing major
Master is 1.27, Manager 1.44
Your batteries are a few versions behind so it might be worth asking your installer to update everything, or if you email Fox service with your inverter serial number and ask them to update your inverter and batteries to the latest versions, they are usually pretty quick to sort it out within 48 hours.

Hi Dave,
Thanks for looking this up for me. I will email fox and ask them to update everything. Seems as if there are lots of updates for them as they where only updated about three months ago.
Regards Peter
