Cable from inverter in garage to EPS socket in living room?

I have a H1-5.0-E-G2 inverter in the garage with EP5 battery. There was no mention of EPS as an option pre-install and I didn't know it was possible.
Since installation I've asked if EPS is possible. I've been told that as inverter in garage they wouldn't want to run a cable back out of garage and into the house as unsafe. Makes sense but would have been good to know this when discussing positioning of inverter at an early stage.
The inverter is on a shared wall between garage and living room. Would it be OK to run a cable from inverter through that shared wall to a dedicated EPS socket in the living room?
It would just be passing through the wall, not going outside. I could then get it connected to the inverter and get the earthing rod in place.
Grateful for any thoughts on this and alternatives if my idea is a non-starter.
