I am awaiting the delivery of an EV and the installation of a Smart charger. When I come to switch tariffs I am aware that I will need to conduct a test charge so the API can interact with Octopus.
So it does not try and drain my solar battery rather than charging from the grid can anyone advise me what settings I need to make online or in the Fox app to temporarily disable the battery from supplying power. I do not want to set it to charge up just make it offline while I sort out all the tariffs and EV settings.
Any experience and tips welcomed !!
The best thing would be to move the EV charger supply upstream of the fox ct clamp so the fox system can't see the ev charge load and won't dump battery into the car.
If this can't be done, make sure you set a matching charge schedule in fox and your car charger.
