I wonder if anyone has a view of whether Fox might be persuaded to allow the setting of the charge windows (and their associated parameters) via Modbus. This would of course open up a whole world of possibilities, like adjusting charging programmatically based on weather forecasting and similar.
As power grids get more dynamic and include more renewable energy, tariffs like Octopus Agile will become the norm I think, and currently the Fox hardware platform is not well set up to deal with that kind of environment (ie grid charging of batteries happening at different times each day).
Any chance of gaining control capabilities over Modbus?
That has been done as a HA add-on. You can check it out here https://github.com/nathanmarlor/foxess_em
Thanks for the heads up
