Hi All,

I've just had a new Fox ESS H1-5.0-e-g2 inverter installed.
I've set it up FoxCloud 2 and it works fine.

I also have an older Fox ESS F5000 inverter that's still in operation. For this I'd always used the PV Pro app.

I've tried adding this to the FoxCloud 2 app but keep getting errors.

When I try to add it to plant, if I scan the datalogger I get "code 41932: Invalid Device SN". If I scan the inverter QR code I get "code 41963: Unrecognisable device type".

Any suggestions on what I need to do to get the old F5000 inverter enrolled in my new FoxCloud2 account?

Thanks

It sounds as if it is already registered to a fox user account, which is why you get Invalid Device SN - it can only ever be registered to one account at once.

Probably the easiest approach is to email Fox service and tell them you want to transfer the F5000 so it is in the same account as your G2 inverter, they’ll need SN details etc.. but only they can make user transfer changes. service.uk@fox-ess.com

@dave - on a similar subject to this ... I have been trying to create an installer account (so that I can tweak with the inverter - meter compensation etc) ... I have created/creating an installer account in the FoxCloud App ..... and when I can my datalogger .. getting the same error. I do have this already registered in a "user profile" .. but thought I could also create an installer account?

If you have a user account it will very likely be already registered to an installer account and you cannot register it to another - if your installer has gone into administration you can get in touch with Fox and explain the problem, they can de-register the old installer and promote your user account.
The only alternative is to replace your datalogger (that is the SN that binds it to the accounts) add the new datalogger to an installer account and then create yourself a new user account - the inverter history will move to the new datalogger.

Thanks Dave, appreciate your explanation .. did not realise you could only have 1 installer account registered with the Data Logger. I will contact my installer ... as, even though they "installed" the system ... they did not mention about "monitoring" it ... so I will need to check on that
