I am trying to get ahead of the PV installation due on 4th Feb, by getting as much done as I can with HA and connecting the Modbus link. The latter is being done following the instructions by Nathan Marlor on GitHub. My problem is that the Modbus keeps falling over when I try to save the IP configuration with a message stating 'Error 404 file not found'. This occurs whether I use a static address or DCHP.
Is this because I don't have the Modbus yet connected to the inverter or am I making some more basic internet protocol mistake, very possible given my age! Thanks for any help on this, I'm running out of hair to pull from my head.
Frank.

Which adapter are you using ?
As a general rule you won’t be able to configure the modbus intergation until you have the inverter connected, but you should be able to configure the device (but some adapters are more fussy than others)

Ok, thanks - hoping that @Calum drops by as he is using that adapter.
