Hi everyone,
We've had our installation for 2 weeks, including 10.36KWH capacity batteries. We are on the Octopus Flux tariff which has a lower rate between 0200-0500 each day. I'm trying to take advantage of this by fully charging the batteries overnight, however, so far the batteries have never charged above 39%. I'm using the mode scheduler on the FoxCloud 2.0 app and have set a Force Charge between 02-0500 & max SOC at 100%. Min SOC on grid and FDSOC are both at 10%.
I've watched a few of the videos but haven't seen what I'm missing. Is there a way to fully charge the battery in that 3 hours window?
Apologies if all this is a silly question!
Regards,
Simon
Battery not charging above 39%
Hello,
I have a few questions before I can answer you with any accuracy.
1. Can you confirm the model inverter and kW size the inverter is?
2. What model battery(s) do you have?
3. It's likely cold weather limiting, if you click on Device > battery in the fox v2 app, what temp is the battery?

Hi, thank you Will,
1. The inverter model is H1-6.0-E-62. Its capacity is 6KW.
2. The battery model is EP11 (10.36kWh capacity)
3. Battery temp is currently 6.8 c
Regards,
Simon.

I explain the charge limiting vs temp in this video which might be worth a watch.
At those temps you'll see between 2 and 10 amps charging vs the normal 25-35amps which is a low of 0.768kW and a max of 3.84kW so a 10.3kWH battery will take 12hrs from empty to full at 2amps or 3hrs at 10amps.
Basically under 5c the battery is hardly able to charge and will be slow at charging until above 10c.
