Connecting a raspberry pi 5 to kh10.5
Hi I'm hoping to get home assistant running and connected so I can monitor my battery parameters, mostly cell temperature, more closely. I've got a raspberry pi 5 arriving soon and have already installed the home assistant OS to a usb SSD but my question is is there any other methods of connecting to my inverter other than a wired connection to the rs485 port? I just didn't fancy having to turn off the inverter and having to wire in other connections if there were other options available!

You can run a cloud integration but you don’t get the control you get with wired and of course it’s dependent on the cloud which is probably the single biggest reason you’d want to wire it direct.
If you turn it all off and go carefully it’s not too bad a job - the hardest part is usually opening the connector.
