Hi everyone,
This is a first post so apologies in advance if I cock it up. Situation is as follows:-
a) I have 10 kW of grid tied solar attracting FITs.
b) I decided to complement this a few days ago with a Fox battery storage system as follows 1 x KH9 inverter and 2 x EP11 batteries ( with space for a third if necessary)
c) For a few years now I've been moving my home to all electric, main fuse upgrade, changing to dual grid tariff 0000 to 0500, Zappi EV charger and more etc..
d) I have also upgraded an old log gas wood boiler tank, used with a wet radiator system in which I installed two 3 kW immersions.
e) To take advantage of the low cost night time tariff I naturally need to load shift as much as possible to that 5 hour window.
f) My night time load therefore would be quite high;- 2 x 3 kW tank immersions, 1 x 3kW DHW immersion, Zappi 7kW charger, house base load ? plus Fox battery system.
My question is: Although the Fox is set to re-charge at night; when it sees such a heavy house load, will it reduce the charge rate to, as yet unknown figure, leaving it only partially charged come 0500 hours. If so I'm guessing the only solution is to tee off the meter tails before the CT and put some of that load on an independent board which I'd rather not do.
Thanks in advance, Mike

Hello and welcome to the forum.
There is a grid charge current setting that can be set to avoid overloading the grid connection. I recommend low balling the amp setting so if you're on a 100amp fuse, then set it to 50 amps so you have decent headroom left.

Hi Will, Sorry to bother you again but I've tried to find the " Grid Charge current setting " without success. I thought I'd seen a flow chart for all the myriad of locations on the inverter screen somewhere, but I can't remember where, ... any Ideas?
Navigating and scrolling the screen does seem a bit clunky for a newly introduced inverter, or it may just be my clunky fingers.
