On the Device Statistics, what exactly is "Today Yield" measuring ?
I've kept an eye on the app throughout the day, and it has spent all day charging the battery and powering the house,
with very very little going back to grid.
Battery charging 19 % => 99 % . Supposedly 16.5 kWh capacity batteries.
In the app,
Today Yield = 4.2 kWh.
So what the heck is it measuring ? Or are my batteries very much smaller than they're supposed to be ?
If it's measuring "how much has PV array generated" then that should be a lot higher than 4.2.
If it's measuring "how much was sent to the grid" then its a lot higher than expected.
Answers on a postcard....,
Today Yield ?

Today (and Total) Yield isn’t the most helpful when you are looking at a Hybrid inverter it is basically all of the work the inverter has done - so as you say all that the inverter outputs to either the house or feed-in (export) and includes both solar and battery energy.

Welcome to solar, hours of fun
I suspect the 20% variance is ambient temperature, peak sun on a hot day is not as good as modest sun on a cold day, the panels derate above 20C - the best months for the UK are usually April/May/June when it’s right in the sweet spot.
