I’ve got an EVO 10-5-H with built in inverter. Firmware has just been updated to all current versions.
We had a power cut yesterday for 5 hours and when power was restored the battery showed a G100 protection lock. I assumed that this was because there was a power surge when power was restored.
Managed to get the G100 lock off and now everything has returned to ‘normal’ except that the battery is not discharging. Earlier in the day when the sun was briefly out, there was a stage when my solar was charging it so at least it’s communicating with the PVs. When not in charging mode, the app just says the battery is in standby.
When the power was restored it was at around 60% SOC. It’s now 39% so somehow it’s discharging somewhere, just not to the house.
Any suggestions?
If you are sure that you've cleared the G100 alarm, try press and holding the tick button on the inverters front panel (3rd from left), if it says 'Start' let go of the button and press it again and the inverter will restart (if it says 'Stop' leave it and don't press again)
Thanks Dave but as I stated, the inverter is integrated into the battery so no separate control panel.
I can confirm however that the G100 error is cleared. Also, the battery isn’t responding to its scheduled charge and discharges in the mode scheduler, only receiving a charge it seems when there’s sufficient solar.

ahh EVO sorry, it does sounds like it's gone into standby - worth while forcing it to change work mode, it doesn't matter what you pick it will override any running schedule. If that doesn't work, I think you will have to contact Fox as the G100 resets can only be done a number of times by the user before they have to be cleared by them.
I’ve tried that already Dave, putting it into self use. Doesn’t make any difference. In the app it does say it’s in standby, only changing if/when there’s sufficient solar.
I’ve contacted Fox who cleared the G100 and told them that’s it’s stuck in standby but zero response. Also contacted the installers (Octopus) but all they said was they’d look into it and again, zero response since.
Hopeless!

I have the same setup and also the G100 fault after a power cut. Please could you tell me how you managed to get the G100 lock off. Thanks
I emailed Fox which raised a ticket and then not having heard anything, called their customer services number. I spoke with a guy called Eric Lei located somewhere near Shanghai who cleared the fault while I was on the call. The number in case you don't have it is 020 7052 3472.
I also did get a response from Fox via email on 23 October which reads as follows:
Hi,
Thank you for raising this issue. Yes, we have recently received many reports of the EVO series devices experiencing voltage and current exceeding the parameter limits after their firmware was updated to the latest version. This triggered the G100 state 3 protection mode and the device cannot be reset. We are currently investigating the fault as quickly as possible to find a solution. For now, please try shutting down and disconnecting the power supply of the device for a period of time, then restart it to see if the problem improves.
Kind Regards

I did all that but despite not now having the G100 fault, the battery is still not working as it says it's "Offline" and nothing I've done has brought it back online. I've raised the fault yet again with Octopus but zero response apart from "we're looking into it".
Really disappointing - I'd certainly not recommend Fox to anyone as their, and Octopus' customer service is just appalling.
Thanks VivianLJ for your prompt and detailed response. I have passed this on to my installer and will post any developments.
