I've a Fox G8 8.0kW 3 MPPT Solar Inverter as part of a two year old solar install. The G99 back in 2024 granted export of 5.5 kW.
I've applied for this to be increased in line with the maximum our panels can produce- 6.7 kW. If the DNO comes back as says "Yes, no problem", I can't make the change on the inverter as I don't have the PIN code. The original installer is incommunicado.
Can Fox Support make this change remotely, assuming I give them a copy of the authorisation from the DNO?
I guess they changed the 0 0 0 0 code?
If so, then yes Fox can change it remotely... you can also ask if you can if your account can be upgraded if your Installer has gone bust. Not sure about being ghosted, but plead your case!

Ah that is great to know! I am pretty sure 0000 isn't valid- I will check tomorrow. Thanks for the rapid response
Sorry, kind of used the default 0000 PIN, so try this code from manual
The default password is "3210". Please let qualified installer or distributor to do the settings, end users are not
recommended to do the settings.

Ooh interesting! Guess what I'll be checking when the sun comes up tomorrow
Be rude not to
I did ask to see if my 3.9kW can be lifted, got a big fat nope! I make sure the battery has room to mop up the overspill, so I shall be carrying on with that for now.

You were right! 3210...so I just need the DNO to grant me an increased export limit and off we go.
So the DNO says I can export more! But what is the menu setting in the inverter that needs changing? I looked at a few and none of them seemed to show the existing 5500 that I was expecting
Have you had a look at this? Hopefully it's the correct one for your inverter.
