Can you break the generation meter ? green screen light not on and grid lost fault on inverter.

Had a new smart meter fitted today, after they left I noticed the Solar was not switched on , Clicked the RCD switches on the Generation meter box and nothing, no red led at the bottom , no green glow on the screen. I have reset and moved the CT clip to ensure it was the right way , but just nothing on the screen which seems odd.
