I had this system installed in 2024 in NSW, Australia :
15 x Jinko Tiger Neo (N-Type) 440W Tier-1 Black monocrystalline panels
1 x 5kW Foxess Smart Single-Phase Inverter
I cannot get load data on the app (what my appliances etc are drawing). Apparently I need a CT clamp.
I called the company who installed the system and they said I needed a particular type of smart meter. I already have a smart meter so this seemed a poor option.
Is this true?
What is the best solution for me?

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Jacquie
Solar only inverters don't have a meter/ct as standard and so if you want to display your house load you will need to fit one.
Looking at your setup the inverter is very close to the existing meter and so a CT clamp is all you would need (another meter is unnecessary).
A CT clamp should be clipped to the live feed of your smart meter and wired over a single pair to the meter/ct connector on the bottom of the inverter, once fitted you will get a view of your house load over time but it doesn't record statistics i.e. load today, last week.

Thanks so much Dave!
Are all CT clamps the same or do I need a particular type?
And can I install it myself?
Really appreciate your help.
