Wifi connection got broken
I'm using FoxCloud 2.0 app and until now it worked fine.

Today I have updated the wifi access points firmware though and it seems this has broken something.

The system said to be offline and not showing any data.

Only invertor is said to be "online", with battery and data logger marked as offline.

Inventor seems to be able to connect to wifi just fine, I can see it getting an IP address through DHCP. It keep refreshing it though, so perhaps it tries to reconnect all the time.

The rest of the network devices are fine, so I don't think it's APs fault.

How can I fix it? Is there an easy restart option somewhere on the device?

Thanks!
Re: Wifi connection got broken
The app is saying that the wifi is connected but that you are off-grid ?

Off-grid usually means that the inverter is in alarm, but it may be a remnant of the datalogger - I think the safest thing to do at this point is a full shutdown and restart but visually check the wiring particularly the battery BMS connections to make sure they are firmly seated.

To shutdown and restart you first isolate the PV, then isolate the AC, finally power off the batteries - wait until the inverter screen goes blank, then power back on the batteries, close the AC isolator, close the PV isolator.

The inverter should go through checking, and then go back on-line and the screen should say 'Normal' showing a battery SoC - within 5 minutes the cloud should be updated.

There is a video here that helps https://youtu.be/xBTtKaX-k14?si=N6hMrK44jFLe_PFz

The datalogger is a 2.4Ghz device only and it struggles with some wifi routers where the ssid's are the same for both channels.
Re: Wifi connection got broken
To follow up, I've reset the inverter twice now, with no success.

The blue "wifi" status indicator keeps blinking on it, which I think means it can't connect to the cloud.

It can definitely connect to the wifi (it gets ip address) and the internet should work fine too - the phone has no issues connecting.

The app has "WLAN settings" I've tried using. It shows inverter as "unconfigured" and let me connect to inverter over Bluetooth and update wifi settings, however the settings page is very flaky, in half the cases it doesn't let me choose the SSID or press next.

I think what's happening is that inverter is connecting to the wifi, tries to connect to cloud and that somehow fails, so it repeats - over and over again. There short intervals where it is not connected yet and that's when it lets me try and change wifi settings but then it connects and drops Bluetooth connection.

I'm not sure why it can't connect to cloud, perhaps the IP address has changed and fox cloud refuses connection? I'll contact my installer to see if they can help somehow.
