Re: Alternative apps

End users don't need an installer code to pair their datalogger to the cloud, installer codes allow installers to bind your system to their account so they can manage it for you remotely.

Re: Fox Hardware board.

Hello, I've created the Can bus forum here https://foxesscommunity.com/viewforum.php?f=34 Will, Would you consider a dedicated topic to can bus communications? This would bridge both battery (agnostic) and inverter and may suit its own section. The reason for the request is to reach out to other tec...

Re: problems setting up end user platform

As an end user you need to bind the account to a site. If it's still showing invalid id then you need to contact fox support.

Re: Knowing what energy goes where.

I have created a real time flow using this open source component https://github.com/ulic75/power-flow-card
Then simply map the elements to the realtime values not the total values.

Fox don't give the files out, you need to use agent level access to update the firmware via the cloud interface or ask fox support to do it for you.

Re: Fox ESS Cloud - access inverter settings

If you have any form of warranty with your installer you normally can't have access to the installer configuration. If you want installer access you sign up for an installer-type account and bound the site to your installer profile also. Worth noting your installer will lose access and be unable to ...

Re: Mira HV25 expected life

Cycle life is the main factor when reviewing battery life so the 6,000 cycles of the HV2600 is far better than the HV25. It's important to remember it's age or cycle count whichever comes first so it's not as simply as saying their both 10 yr warranties as the HV25 will expire it's warranty much fas...

Re: Agent account on my site

Sadly a site can only be bound to one agent account. I would allow your installer to manage firmware if you don't want to own all support of your system yourself.

Re: ARM Ver Fault

Correct, the solution for an ARM Ver Fault is to simply get your installer or Fox support to update the manager firmware version to the latest which resolves the issue.

Re: Agent Account

I would create an agent account and then use the invite feature to invite the installer account to be part of the agent account so the site just links and comes across. I wouldn't delete your installer account or you risk losing access to your inverter.

Hello,

Manual states the following troubleshooting steps:

DC component is out of limit in output current.
• Disconnect PV, grid and battery, then reconnect.
• Or seek help from FoxESS, if not go back to normal state.

Have chat with Nathan from DNK https://dnkrenewables.com/ or have you thought about ordering and installing yourself, it's not a hard job to DIY.

I'd grab a cheap mico pc off ebay over a Pi. The chip shortage has made Pi's expensive but a micro PC can you had for less than a pi now.
Slap windows on it and run as VM

Re: Charging to a percentage

If you have an installer or agent account, you can easily change this setting on the mobile and desktop app.
However, its not advised to limit charging, these are LFP cells and require a full charge regularly to 100% or you'll have some odd bms/capacity issues.

Hello,

The H1 includes battery connectors in a bag in the box which can be used to make custom cable lengths. Shorter is always better for losses but I've seen DC cable go 10-15m no issues.
