Re: V2 BMS and Batteries

Just wanted to confirm the HV2600 batteries and BMS came new from a fox supplier right? If it did then I would contact your supplier and if required foxess support.

Re: V2 BMS and Batteries

if combine they're at 50volts and they should be more like 100ish volts this is likely why the system is dead. I bet it's expecting 100v minimum as it requires 2 battery units.

Re: Sizing a Hybrid Installation

Good call on the data driven decision, home assistant will clearly show you how much battery/solar and grid you're using. On the battery side, there is no formal requirement that you install new batteries within a year, it's simply best practice but you could technically install more batteries in 2 ...

Re: Add additional battery with or without more panels?

Hey, On batteries - you can technically add batteries at any time but the larger the delta in new vs old batteries the worst perfomance you'll get, it's noting worth losing sleep over however. It's recommended to installers to scale within the first year if possible. On solar - Inverters are limited...

Re: Sizing a Hybrid Installation

FoxESS like many inverters have MPPT solar features which is Maximum Power Point Tracking which can alter panel efficiency to match demand and capacity of the inverter. I believe the unused solar is converted into heat by the panels and inverter. Regarding what size battery you would benefit from. I...

Re: Sizing a Hybrid Installation

Hello, On the inverter sizing, yes it's best practice and normal to underrate the inverter slightly vs the full possible panel generation potential value. The panels will normally only generate their rated wattage in lab conditions so in the real world they'll perform slightly worst. Inverters have ...

Re: H1_Manager_V1.49

Agent accounts have the firmware updater which sends and installs updates over the cloud via the wifi module.
If you're not an agent you should speak to your installer or contact fox support.

FoxESS mobile App - data not updating / Inverter offline

If you've noticed that your inverter is not sending data to the FoxESS cloud or that your inverter appears offline on the app but is working fine follow these steps. IF YOUR INVERTER HAS NEVER REPORTED CORRECTLY ENSURE THE FIRMWARE IS UP TO DATE AS THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE. 1. Is the wifi module flash...

Re: V2 BMS and Batteries

Can you upload a photo of the BMS? Normally HV2600 are around 53volts. 20 voltages sounds like permanent damage has occurred. I assume you have the BMS connected to an inverter right? then you set the dip switches to the correct dip position, turn on the main MCB breaker and then press the silver po...

Re: Home Assistant Energy Dashboard Charge kWh reliable?

Hello, I would be interested to hear what FoxESS support come back with but all my installs are the same. I believe it's all to do with BMS calibration and how tricky LifePo4 batteries are to gain a true SoC. Whats likely happening is the missing capacity is either not being used and when it states ...

It's not required for end-user registrations or installers who are not top-tier partner installers. Just leave it blank if you haven't been issued a reference.

Clear BMS/Battery Error while waiting for batteries to be installed (BMS LOST))

Screenshot 2022-10-16 091207.png It's pretty common while there are long delays on battery installations for installers to install just the inverter, which will act as a solar inverter only. The downside of this is that it leaves you with a nasty BMS COMS LOST error and a red flashing error which i...

Yes, 100% than a shelly, the frient doesn't even get warm and it has internal safety measures including temp sensing to protect it so I sleep well knowing it's a solid bit of kit.
