41201 error
Octopus had a "savings session" yesterday so I changed over my work model to my savings session export settings in the web page and adjusted the time windows to suit. Done it several times before and all has been well.. This morning I try to change back to my "normal" settings and I can't. I can't ...

Yes, still as flaky as ever. It can take up to TEN attempts to log in and I get the same messages here.
Old addage: If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Re: Ongoing issues following maintenance over the weekend?
Both app and website are virtually unreachable. I get "error 5XX" when trying to use website and timeout after timeout error with the app. Getting tired of second rate service from FoxESS. I've had my system 2 years and with the recent firmware update I was finally satisfied I had a great system ...

Try logging into the website. The mobile app is up the creek just now following a huge update last weekend.

Re: App showing system off line
Just last week I wast telling my "Growatt" mate (he's determined to get a Growatt system) how the Fox system was now excellent after almost 2 years of mediocre behaviour. I could now set charge/discharge times and rates etc. That was until last weekend's site update. Now the mobile app is broken. It ...

Re: Off peak charging from grid!
I've noticed that "Nelly" also has time period 2 set to 5:1 (05:01) until 1:59 (01:59 the following day). I had issues when I tried to set period 2 to an earlier time in a given day than period 1. The setup refused to recognise the times. It didn't seem to recognise that time flows, constantly and ...

Re: WiFi connection
Your installer should have been left a small, pocket sized leaflet telling you how to do this. If like the cowboys that installed mine, yours threw everything in the bin, you'd be best searching online for Foxess wifi dongle instruction leaflet. The ref no on the one I found is V05, 10-203-00011-06 ...

Re: Battery Repair
I've just come across this story and here are my thoughts: Please note, this is my belief and not legal advice. Did you purchase the entire setup via the installer? Is it a genuine company or a mate trying his/her best? Did you pay for any or all of the job with a credit card? If a company supplied ...

Re: Hello from the north east uk
Why do people talk about being a "low carbon" household or other entity when the term "carbon" is incorrect? The chemical you're actually talking about is carbon dioxide - a gas and not carbon which often and also incorrectly, gives the impression of being a dirty, sooty thing and therefore an ...

Re: Mystery drop in SOC overnight....
Last winter (2021 to 2022) when my system was new and I was as green as grass trying to make friends with it, I'd see my battery reserve fall by around 20 to 30% overnight. The system would also regularly top up from grid, drawing around 2kWh overnight. I then had 8 x HV2600 (20.48kWh they say ...

Re: New Foxess Cloud feature
Give it a try! Select the item you want to test, eg Power Staion, tick the box, enter your Foxess password then give the system 10 minutes or so to react/respond. See what's happening and if you're not happy simply tick the original box (probably self use) and go back to where you were. I'm guessing ...

Re: Double Bubble Battery Banks
No, I use ONE V2 BMS. The big, gnarly switch changes over the BMS DC feed from stack A (V1 bats) to stack B (V2 bats). The disconnected stack is then completely alone (shame) with no connection to anything. The original V1 BMS is kept handy, just in case I ever need to resort to only the original ...

Double Bubble Battery Banks
Although my installer sold me eight HV2600, Fox, when I contacted them about some weird system behaviour, told me the maximum ought to be seven. They suggested eight may give over voltage issues and I can confirm I did get occasional battery over voltage alarms. I also found the battery capacity ...

Re: New Foxess Cloud feature
Believe me, gummints all throughout the western world will sell your soul. I've had a (very) quick perusal of Octopus Flux and IMHO it's a toe in the door of mandatory grid compliance. A bit like the current (no pun) spate of "savings sessions". A trial to see just how we will succumb with a very ...

Re: New Foxess Cloud feature
My battery feature was broken, too but now seems to be ok again. This is what I've learned thus far: 1 - Self use seems to prioritise my own consumption and battery charging. 2 - Feedin seems to prioritise feed to the grid over battery charging in that any solar I'm not using directly goes to the ...

Re: BMS V2 with mixed v1/v2 batteries - Solution to persistent BMS alarms.
Just a quickie: I emailed Foxess Customer Service ( service.uk@fox-ess.com ) yesterday afternoon to query a firmware update. They responded this morning, asking for my inverter serial number. By 11:15 they replied saying my firmware had been updated for me. Master 1.54, Slave 1.02, Manager 1.57 Now ...

Re: BMS V2 with mixed v1/v2 batteries - Solution to persistent BMS alarms.
I haven't yet taken delivery of the V2 bats and BMS I want. I intend to install the V2 bats as an additional stack of 7 with my original stack of 7 V1 bats. I've installed switching for the data ( a simple manual ethernet switch £8 ebay) and heavy duty cabling for the extra run to the second stack ...

Re: V2 BMS and Batteries
I see people say that Fox will replace, free of charge, a V1 BMS for a V2 in order to increase battery capacity with mixed batteries. Can someone post a link, email address or telephone number to contact Fox? I've tried emailing a few times and never get a response so some positive and complete info ...
