Re: Controlling battery discharge rate?

This is a crappy plastic enclosure. Ideally I'd like a zigbee device as I have zigbee lights outside and the network is better than the wifi outside.

Ideally I'd get my wiring changed so the inverter doesn't see the charger. I guess getting this costed first makes the most sense!

It should just be ...

Re: Controlling battery discharge rate?

Actually looks like I was wrong, there is space in the mini consumer unit.

The MCB reset button also doesn't work anymore either, so probably a good idea to get a spark round to switch the MCB and maybe install something like a Shelly EM too!

Re: Controlling battery discharge rate?

Thanks for the reply!

I have considered the mini consumer unit next to the charger, but unfortunately there isn't any space in there either. Ideally I don't want the hassle and expense of putting in a larger mini consumer unit.

I do have power the other side of the wall in the kitchen that would ...

Re: Controlling battery discharge rate?

I need to do something similar with my PodPoint. The PodPoint does have a cloud integration where I can tell if it's charging, but the cloud part is a bit dodgy and sometimes the charge point drops off the WiFi.

Ideally I want to connect a Zigbee CT clamp to monitor it. But ironically I don't ...

Re: Hello from the East Midlands!

Built a small enclosure as recommended. Already noticing the battery temperature is more stable this morning after another cold night.

Temperature inside the enclosure is currently about 9oC more than the ambient loft temperature! Battery has stayed above 20 all night too!

I'm going to copy ...

Re: Silly me! Help Requested

In the HACS section of HA search for "FoxESS Cloud".

Then click on the 3 dots on the right side, then "Remove"

Re: Silly me! Help Requested

You can actually run both integrations side by side if you wish.

But the uninstall method should be the same as any other custom integration. Just remove the lines from the configuration, restart HA and then remove the integration from HACS to fully uninstall, followed by one more restart.

Re: Hello from the East Midlands!

Thanks both!

The temperatures have been more stable since I built the box. But the weather has also improved, so time will tell.

I have noticed that the battery temperature reported by the fox cloud app (lower) is different to the one reported by modbus. I don't suppose either of you know what the ...

Re: Hello from the East Midlands!

Already seeing battery charge being throttled due to temperature of the batteries. Was quite cold last night. Ambient temperature in the loft was 3oC and the battery is only charging at 1.1kW, with a temperature of 15oC.

Think I'm going to pop down to B&Q this weekend and see what I can cobble ...

Re: Hello from the East Midlands!

Thanks for the confirmation on the small draw, makes sense!

I'll monitor the temperatures and see how things go. I already have some zigbee thermometers up there to measure the ambient temperature. As you say should be easy enough to insulate with a small enclosure! I've already seen the charge ...

Hello from the East Midlands!

Had my system installed a little of 3 weeks ago!

16 x 435W Perlight Panels (6.96 kWp)
6 kW H1 Inverter
12 kWh Energy Cubes

Also had a SolaX EV charger fitted that the installer fitted for free!

Just getting used to everything. But I have integrated the HA Modbus Integration, along with the ...
