Thanks so much, Dave, that's so useful. I've also looked at Tony's page, it's amazing what you can do with the system (though it feels like some higher degree study might be needed to get there )

Thank you very much, Dave, that all makes sense to me. We've got a H1 Hybrid inverter, and I use foxesscloud online to monitor and manage the system. It seems to have worked as I hoped, it charged from the grid fully during the cheap early morning tariff period, and didn't charge in the afternoon ...

Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. We have 2 x 2.38 kwH batteries, and they are often charged at 40-50% by about midnight and then drain down to just under 20% by about 5:00 or 6:00, not sure if that is normal? Thanks!

Battery draining overnight
I've recently had a system installed and find that the battery discharges slowly overnight until it reaches a couple of % below the minimum charge (set at 20%), even though there is only very minimal use of electricity. Is that to be expected or is it something to worry about?
