Re: Energy Stats app Integration with Solcast

I suspect that the stats from Solcast do not change very often during the day, so rather than read then every time the user looks at the Summary tab, couldn't the data be retained in the App, and only refreshed from Solcast if it is more than (for example) 2 hours old?

Re: Energy Stats App failing to load data - Error message

I know Al is on at them several times a week but there's been no update yet on this, my test system is being used to benchmark the API performance which to be honest is unusable at certain times of day - the graph does however show the problems are cyclical and so if you avoid the peak times it ...

Re: No Feed-In to grid

My first thought is that the inverter has been set not to export to grid (not sure why that would be), but have a look at the inverter panel in Settings, on-grid, export control - the value there should be set to 60000 (sixty thousand). You were absolutely spot on! I actually raised a ticket with ...

No Feed-In to grid

Yesterday I received confirmation from Octopus that my PV + battery setup is now fully set up for Export on Octopus Flex, so I decided to test it today. Despite having a 100% full battery, Nothing was exported to the grid all day - precisely 0.000 kWh! - despite starting with full battery, and it ...

Re: Battery charge setting access

Thanks to all those who share my pain for confirming where the issue seems to be. Fortunately, my inverter is in the garage (no visit to the loft needed!) so I have been able to reduce the forced charge for tomorrow to just 45 minute - enough so that I have power until the sun hits my south-facing ...

Re: Battery charge setting access

I have a fairly new installation, am on Octopus Flux Import and waiting for the Export setup to be completed. A couple of weeks ago (after advice from this community) I was able to set up the inverter for a forced charge between 0200 and 0500 - it has been working nicely. Now we are seeing a bit ...

Re: New User: Step One - overnight battery charging

It's been a couple of weeks since I asked my first question in the forum, and it was quickly answered, meaning that virtually every day since I have been able to power my home from a mix of solar and cheap-rate grid electricity. It is making a massive difference already to my energy bill - even ...

Re: New User: Step One - overnight battery charging

My installer pointed me in the direction of the Foxapp, which I have been able to use on my iPhone since the installation. My issue seems to stem from the very poor UI design of the app and the lack of any useful documentation. Thanks for providing the link to the web interface, which worked first ...

New User: Step One - overnight battery charging

I have a new PV + battery installation (see signature), and want to eventually be on feed-in tarrif, be running from battery (self-generated or off-peak electricity as appropriate), manage my EV charging and be in control of it all (Home Assistant?). Right now, I want to be able to start the day ...
