Re: Fitting meter instead of CT
I can't find the inverter meter specs anywhere, but is the inverter expecting the defaults:
modbus address 1 (that one I know it is)
baud rate 9600
parity none
The specs of the Eastsron SDM230 Modbus don't seem too impressive in regard to accuracy:
Accuracy
• Voltage 0·5% of range maximum ...

Hello!
I'm going to have a little re-working done to my system and I'm interested in having my installer (or some electrician) change from using CT1 to Meter 1 for the inverter's main sensing of the grid current flow.

Yes, thanks ... if I try to write values 0,8000 starting at 46616 it works.
Is the crowd-sourced current state of registers published somewhere?

Re: Off grid setup with Generator backup supply
Exactly Dave, on all counts!
Thanks for going through it all again, I know it is a lot. I was hoping that using CT2 was some sort of magic potion that would solve some issues. I think you are confirming for my set up there is no benefit to doing that.

Re: Off grid setup with Generator backup supply
Question - in this arrangement, using CT2 (or two meters), does the inverter 'know' it is off-grid (grid is down) when it sees no current on the grid CT/meter but does see current on the 'additional generator' CT/meter? Does this set up prevent all backflow from the inverter to the generator? My ...

Re: Off grid setup with Generator backup supply
I think the best way to do what you want is to connect the generator to your consumer unit/fuse box on the grid side of the main CT meter - then add a second CT clamp from the CT2 input, and clamp it to the generator live feed.
The inverter will see everything the generator produces as external ...

Re: Off grid setup with Generator backup supply
I don’t know if they are solenoids etc but it’s quite a loud “click click click” as it is negotiating with the input. It’s probably not good for the inverter in the long run.

Re: Grid Pressure/Push back Setting added to the K and H1-gen2
Argh! I think I have found my issue perhaps. I was expecing to see a change in the Modbus entity sensor.foxess_grid_ct and there was no change. But actually, we are trying to 'calibrate' that sensor so that it is more accurate -- or we are trying to fool it into pushing back to the grid (that's what ...

Re: Grid Pressure/Push back Setting added to the K and H1-gen2
Strange .. not working for me. I had my installer change it to -50 and I still see it behaving just like it always did (typically pulling about 10 watt from the grid).

EPS sensor.foxess_eps_rpower wrong
Hello ... I did a few versions of software updates today and sensor.foxess_eps_rpower is not working correctly. It works when I'm in self-use mode but when pulling from the grid it drops to zero. Meanwhile sensor.foxess_eps_rcurrent is still working fine (showing 14.7A for example when eps power ...

Re: Grid Pressure/Push back Setting added to the K and H1-gen2
Today I got the latest updates from FoxESS on my KH10.5 and asked my installer to give me -20 watts. He knew what I asking for, and did it, but it has not made any difference (I have modbus, so can see grid use updated very frequently and I would notice 20 watts at the grid CT for sure). I also ...

Yes, it began working again quickly. Each side of the consumer unit (the whole unit is on the EPS output) has an 80A RCD. Probably just a fluke.

Spoke too soon!
Next round did the 'master':
Master : 1.29. Slave : 1.01. Manager : 1.21
That part of the upgrade did throw the device into EPS mode as if the AC power failed which in this case tripped one of the RCDs in the consumer unit meaning power was lost to many circuits in the house. The ...

Ok... I was impatient and feeling lucky, so I asked for an upgrade and received it. Only the manager was updated:

I'll report back if I find any problems.

Re: KH-Series 10.5 hybrid inverter software/firmware
This is my inverter ... confirm latest firmware did not give me that function. It did add 'peak shaving' and it did subtract the ability for the foxesscloud to work properly with the inverter. Local control (panel and modbus) are fine. Well, actually I've had some inverter operating system freezes ...
