Thanks - I had an email today from Fox saying they will not support a software upgrade if I self install and that I can't add the latest LV5200 with a purple sticker to my existing LV5200.
What a pain - the only way to upgrade appears to be by having to buy the latest batteries, not cheap!

Hi. I have an LV5200 installed and am installing a second slave LV5200. I read that firmware updates are required for the two batteries to work together with my SOLIS Inverter. I emailed FOX service center, who appear to be in denial about this as they said nothing needs doing apart from plugging in...
